云南公益人组织成立“云南公益行业性别平等工作小组”
7月29日，云南的公益人邢陌、戴广良、李剑霞、周昕雅、周蓉、陈泽应6人以个人名义发起本次“云南公益人反性侵犯交流会”，希望通过交流会了解云南公益行业对性侵犯问题的观点和现状，形成地区对性侵犯问题的态度，给予能够面对伤害和表达的受害者鼓励与支持。

Yunnan Non-profit Panel for NGO Gender Equality Established
On July 29th, six reputable NGO volunteers (Xing Mo, Dai Guangliang, Li Jianxia, Zhou Xinya, Zhou Rong and Chen Zeying) in Yunnan Province held a meeting concerning fighting against s*xual harassment in NGO, and established Yunnan Non-profit Panel for NGO Gender Equality, because in the past month, many NGO activists and leaders have been reported for s*xual harassment. The panel is aiming at encouraging the victims to report the crimes, and helping them physically and mentally.

香港同志公务员争福利失败，决定上诉
7月26日，香港已婚同志高级入境主任梁镇罡因不满公务员事务局拒让其夫享配偶福利，2015年底提司法覆核，高等法院原讼庭去年裁定入境主任梁镇罡胜诉，认为公务员事务局歧视，但局方其后上诉。上诉庭于上月初推翻原讼庭判决，指香港法律只认可异性婚姻，裁定公务员事务局上诉得直。梁镇罡向本地媒体表示，已决定向终审法院提出“终极上诉”，现正准备相关文件，完成后将尽快递交香港终审法院。

Hong Kong Court Overturns Ruling Granting Spousal Benefits to Husband of Gay Civil Servant
On July 26th, Hong Kong Court of Appeal overturned a lower court’s decision granting spousal benefits to the husband of a gay Hong Kong civil servant. Leung Chun-kwong, the senior immigration officer who married a male partner, filed a judicial review against the city’s Civil Service Bureau in late 2015, after it refused to grant his husband spousal benefits, and he won the case in April last year. The Court of Appeal ruled last month that the Basic Law – Hong Kong’s mini-constitution – favors heteros*xual marriage and the government is right to protect the “status of marriage” through its policy on spousal benefits for civil servants. But Leung said in a statement that he and his husband were extremely disappointed and were considering taking the case to the Court of Final Appeal, Hong Kong’s highest court.

中国自主研发抗艾滋病新药获批上市
中国自主研发的抗艾滋病新药艾博韦泰长效注射剂获目前已批准上市，这也是中国首个抗艾滋病长效融合抑制剂，该药的上市表明我国抗艾药物实现了零的突破。艾博韦泰相比原有药剂有很大的改观，作用疗效时间非常长，一周只需要打一次，疗效和安全性都很好，成为中国艾滋病治疗的一个新的手段。

Newly Developed AIDS Drug will be Available in August
China's first domestically developed long-acting injectable AIDS drug named Albuvirtide will be available to the public in August. The birth of Albuvirtide not only means "a breakthrough for domestically developed HIV drugs" but also changes the situation in which HIV/AIDS treatment lacks new drug. As the world’s first long-acting inhibitor, Albuvirtide is injected once a week, and is secure, which is expected to benefit tens of thousands of people infected with HIV.

知名同志公益人张锦雄被指控性骚扰
7月23日晚，微博和微信公众平台上有用户指控知名同志公益人张锦雄性骚扰，指出其在此前不少公益活动中有过分亲昵、肢体接触、言语不当等骚扰行为，严重影响到了他人。7月27日，张锦雄在其微博上发表公开声明，承认其性骚扰等不当行为，并向大众道歉。

Famous LGBT Activist Zhang Jinxiong is Accused of Sexual Harassment
On July 23rd, several males have revealed their expertise of being s*xually harassed by Zhang Jinxiong (head of a well-known gay charity group in China), pointing out that Zhang has s*xually harassed people from language to action in many campaigns. On July 27th, Zhang made an announcement to apologize on his Weibo, admitting his inappropriate behavior.

台湾同志电影《红楼梦》受争议
7月20日，台湾同志电影《红楼梦》官方释出的激情预告片放出，收到粉丝围观。除了有不少人表示期待以外，有不少大陆的网友“批判”此片用“红楼梦”作为片名是不智的行为。相较于对片名和预告片的热议，影片的题材和表现方式一直也备受业内及台湾同志圈的质疑。

Taiwanese Gay Film the Story of the Stone Causes Controversy
On July 20th, a trailer of the Taiwanese Gay Film The Story of the Stone was released online. Sexy and daring, it drew much attention, and caused much controversy. Described as an honest and natural depiction of gay life in Taipei, it attracts many netizens. However, there are also many people arguing that they shouldn’t use The Story of the Stone as its name, because it is one of China's Four Great Classical Novels, and long considered a masterpiece of Chinese literature. Although it is claimed that the film is adapted from the novel, their theme and contents are totally different.

同性电影《美丽》获FIRST影展三项提名
7月2日，第十二届西宁FIRST青年影展九大奖项的提名名单出炉，由周洲执导、池韵主演、程青松监制的电影《美丽》从38部入围影片中脱颖而出，提名竞赛单元最佳剧情片、最佳演员、一种立场三项大奖，成为本届影展最受关注的影片之一。这部影片讲述一个洗衣女工故事，涉及同性情感元素。

Homos*xual Film MS.MEILI Nominated for Three Awards
On July 2nd, the 12th FIRST International Film Festival was held in Xining. Directed by Zhou Zhou, starred by Chi Yun, and Supervised by Cheng Qingsong, the film MS.MEILI was nominated for three awards: Best Feature Film, Best Performer and Spirit of Freedom, becoming one of the most high-profile films in the Festival. The film tells a story about a le***an who snaps as a result of struggling with a violent, dysfunctional family.

香港同性婚姻支持率大幅上升
香港大学比较法及公法研究中心今天公布的2017年调查报告显示，50.4%的受访者支持同性婚姻，比例明显高于2013年同类调查的38%，而医院探视、继承等方面的支持率也有所上升。这项调查在2017年5月12日至6月6日进行，1437人受访。

Support for Same-s*x Marriage in Hong Kong Grows
Research from the HKU’s (University of Hong Kong) Centre for Comparative and Public Law that released on July 3rd found 50.4 percent of respondents backed allowing same-s*x marriage, while it was 38% in 2013. The study also uncovered growing support of the rights of same-s*x couples in matters of health and finances.
